AUBURN HILLS, MI – Just days after launching a rocket attack in Roseville, 64-year-old Harold Cooper has struck again-this time targeting the home of 82-year-old Gertrude Witherspoon, the grandmother who maced a five-year-old girl at the Great Lakes Mall.

Authorities say Cooper arrived at Witherspoon’s Auburn Hills residence at approximately 3 a.m. and fired a grenade launcher directly into the living room, causing an explosion that completely leveled the house.

Witherspoon was killed instantly.

Investigators discovered a handwritten note left at the scene, in which Cooper justified his actions, stating, “She shouldn’t have sprayed mace in that baby’s face.

I’m going to start judging everyone who harms an innocent Black child.”

Cooper, a decorated Desert Storm veteran who has now become the most wanted man in Michigan, once again fled in his pickup truck and remains at large.

Authorities are scrambling to track him down, warning that he is heavily armed and increasingly unpredictable.

In a separate chilling discovery, police found another note inside Cooper’s abandoned motel room, this one addressed to his own son.

The message read: “If you weren’t my son, I’d blow you up too, SNITCH.” This latest act of vengeance has intensified the debate surrounding Cooper, with some hailing him as a vigilante delivering street justice, while others condemn his actions as domestic terrorism.

As the search for Cooper expands across state lines, tensions continue to rise.

Protesters outside the Auburn Hills police station are calling for greater accountability in the justice system, pointing out that Witherspoon had walked free after assaulting a child, while others see Cooper’s actions as an escalation that could plunge the region into chaos.
